I do not think you have fully researched the impact of your signs.
As I drive down the street I see sign after sign Saying "For sale can't afford the taxes.

What do you think a perspective buyer driving down the street may think? Maybe, "Wow, there is a problem here, this is not somewhere I want to look for a new home." Do you think they know that your house is really not for sale? Maybe, maybe not. Do you think they will think HA HA that's funny? I don't.

If you were selling your house and these signs went up everywhere how do you think this would impact your chances for getting a quick sale at a good price?

My house is due to go on the market next week. We have been painting and fixing and replacing appliances for weeks, trying to make our house as marketable as possible, in order to get the best price we can. We are spending thousands of dollars in the hopes of attracting buyers.

We have lived in this community for 15 years and have loved being here. The last two times the issue of the tax increase came up we were at the meeting expressing our concerns and working to get things changed. I have signed petitions, spent time getting signatures on petitions, gone to many meetings where the discussion of planning, taxes, snd growth have been discussed. But now we must move.

Never did I think that, the same people that I was working with to make things better in this valley, would do something so poorly thought out.

That they would not think about the repercussions their actions would have on others.

I am asking that you "PLEASE THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU MAY BE DOING TO YOUR NEIGHBOR" by putting up one of those signs and how you would feel if you were in the position I find myself in.

I have asked my direct neighbors to please remove their signs so that they don't affect my chances of selling my home. And good neighbors that they have alway been they have done so.

Now I am asking you please, don't ruin the chances of others who must sell their homes, by putting up one of those signs.

For you the glass is half empty. For the ones who agree to post the signs it is half full. If I or any I know and have asked by the way...were driving around looking at a community and saw these signs I would say..."Hey these people are fighting to keep property taxes low. I like that! I think I would like to live among people who are not afraid to be involved and engaged in the political procees to effect change for the better for all property owners."

Now think about that. We all know nay bobs of negativeism. Put a "For Sale -Can't afford the taxes" sign out front and see if you don't get some interested buyers with some basic common sense for a change. You will be surprised how many people are smart out there.
